DOWNLOADING FROM THE WEB

1. Go to http://sentsoft.com/register/ and select the Download option from the menu on the left of the screen.

2. Click the Button to the left of the program title at the foot of the screen.

3. On the File download popup menu select 'Save'.

4. On the Save As screen use the 'Save In' drop down selector to select the folder into which you want to save the file you are about to download. Use 'Desktop' folder for convenience or create a special folder on the C:\ drive called 'Sentinel Downloads'.

5. Click Save and the file will proceed to download.

6. When this process is complete close your Web browser and find the Register file where you told the system to save it.

7. Double click this file to start the Installation. The Setup screen will appear.

8. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to continue to Install Sentinel Register. Click 'Yes' to continue. Click 'No' to abandon – you may run the install at a later time.

9. Welcome screen - Read it and click Next.

10. License Agreement – Please read carefully and if you are happy with the terms click the 'I accept the Agreement' radio button on the bottom left of the screen and then click Next. Clicking Cancel will abort the setup.

11. Information screen – It is worth reading all of this. It is there to help you get started with the program. It will definitely save you time in getting into the program.

12. Select Destination Directory screen - select the Drive and Folder for your Data Location. Novices are advised to use the installation defaults. In this case simply observe that the folder selected is C:\Program Files\ - The new folder will be called Sentinel Register so the top line should show the selected folder with the new folder name added. In the case of using the default this will show C:\Program Files\Sentinel Register.

13. Select Startup Menu Folder screen – once more, use the default provided.

14. Select Additional Tasks screen - select which of the Shortcut Icons you require. You may select either, or both.

15. Ready to Install screen - check that everything is as you wish and once satisfied click 'Install' button.

16. Once complete you may let the Setup program start Register automatically or you can exit and start from the Start Menu, the new Desktop Icon or the new Quick Start Icon on the Taskbar.

17. As an absolute minimum please start by click the Help option on the Main menu and reading the Getting Started section. It will save you a lot of time and help to get you started smoothly. Every screen has F1 help provided which is context sensitive – so make use of it.

18. You may find it helpful to print these instructions and have them to hand while you are downloading and getting started.

19. Once you have run the install program you can backup the install program just by mouse dragging it to removable media such as a R/W CD or Zip drive in case you ever need to re-install the program.
